   I purchased this boot having been very disappointed with the quality of modern day Dr.Martens (the Made in China/Thailand ones). The fit of such Dr.Martens is very inaccurate. I noticed slight size differences between the uppers in each shoe in a pair i had. They are uncomfortably big and cannot be laced tight enough. No amount of insoles will cure them either - nor should you require insoles to make shoes fit your size.
   The leather on modern Docs is also much thinner than pre-2003 (Made in England models). It almost has a plastic appearance. Even the shoe laces which come with modern Docs are of flimsy quality.
   These Solovair have none of the above problems. The size is completely accurate. The leather is top notch. The stitching, welting and general assembly is excellent. Even the shoe laces are of decent quality! This is what I remember Dr. Martens of the 90s to be like. At this price they are well worth considering.
   If you like the style, you will love the quality. Also the CBS delivery is excellent. I received my order within two days. A great service for €3.50. Buy with confidence. (Posted on 29/09/2011)
